VICKI'S STORY

As a young girl I began to ride at the age of 12. My passion for horses went far beyond just their beauty — I could see the healing side of these intelligent, empathetic animals. Through volunteering, I knew that horses could really make a difference in the lives of others.

In 2013, I started volunteering at a horse therapy program in New York where I lived at the time. In 2016, when I moved to Florida, I wanted to continue with my passion of working with horses and started managing a horse facility.

In order to become certified in Equine Assisted Therapy, I taught Therapeutic Riding at (MTRA) and then earned my PATH certification (Professional Association ofTherapeutic Horsemanship International) in 2018. All this lead me to become the lead instructor and owner of Horses With a Mission, a non-profit therapeutic riding center, starting in 2019.
